Then, they show the dog's picture and you recognize her in an instant. It is the dog that followed you home from the bus stop! You feel foolish for not calling the animal shelter when you first got home. They give a phone number to call if anybody finds the dog.
Just then, your parents both join you in the family room to listen to the news. The announcer continues, "Bobo the Rodeo Dog was lost this afternoon and her two-week old puppies have a rare, threatening condition that can only be treated if Bobo is there."
They interview the owner, Mrs. Stetson, who says, "She is more than just a dog to us and I'm sure that people out there in your audience who have pets realize the special bond that can be created between an animal and a human. That's the bond that Bobo has with my husband and I."
Mrs. Stetson continues, "She acts like any other dog but this two-year old miniature Jack Russell is special: She rides horses in the rodeo and does tricks with her owner, Joe Stetson. Most importantly, she holds the key to her puppies' survival." The news announcer gives a phone number to call if anybody finds the dog.
Make a choice:
Your parents tell you to call the phone number.
Q: Do you tell the Stetsons about how their dog followed you home from the bus stop or not?
